AL-Multaqa Al-thaqafi Cultural Gathering Celebrates 14th Anniversary
The Cultural Gathering on Al-Mutanabbi Street, in cooperation with the Baghdad Cultural Center, celebrated its 14th anniversary on Friday, January 3, 2025. The event, held in Jawad Salim Hall, was moderated by writer Janan Al-Saigh.
Keynote speaker Sadik Al-Jamil discussed the gathering’s early days, acknowledging the support from the Baghdad Cultural Center. He highlighted the progress made through various cultural activities.
Al-Jamil shared his literary journey, noting challenges in writing his first sci-fi novel, “Noah’s Ark,” which integrated scientific facts.
Attendees, including Ahmed Al-Bayati, Zuhair Al-Badri, Ahmed Khunjar, Raja Al-Rubai’i, Abdul Karim Muttalafawi, Falah Al-Shabandar, Sabah Al-Uzawi and Amer Abdul Amir, recited poems and congratulatory messages.
